IWA Plaque for crossing the L&L

The Inland Waterways Association has teamed up with British Waterways in a scheme to encourage greater navigation of the full length of the L&L; which currently suffers from under use. Boaters making the full 127 mile crossing will be awarded a specially designed solid brass plaque, compliments of BW, who have generously funded the costs of the award scheme.

The passage can be made in either direction and boaters are required to have evidence of the beginning and end of their cruise. Photographic evidence is acceptable. Boaters wishing to make the journey will need a log sheet to completed during the crossing. Log sheets, together with further details, are available from Graham Eastwood, 61 School Lane, Leyland, Preston PR5 1TU - please include a stamped addressed envelope. Log sheets also available from British Waterways at White Bear Marina, Park Road, Adlington, Chorley, PR7 4HZ
